This shimmering choral work from Kerry Andrew is an imaginative setting of an ancient Aramaic text; 'Maranatha' meaning 'our Lord come' or 'Our Lord has come' . This text would probably have been used at the Eucharist; 'Awake thou that sleepest' at baptism.
Kerry Andrew won the Temple Church composition prize in July 2002 for 'Maranatha'.
